Vacations

Jackson Hole, WY - Snowmobile Tour of Yellowstone
I was mostly raised in Texas. So my idea of skiing is the type you do on the water.  My husband however, Houston born, was raised mostly up north and on the slopes.  Now that we live in Texas there is an abundance of water but not much snow.  Wanting to experience some of the fun activities he got to enjoy as a child I decided our vacation should include some type of snowmobiling.  I let my search engine do the crawling and found several places that rented snowmobiles.  Then there it was "Snowmobile tours through Yellowstone".... SCORE!!!  I had never been through Yellowstone and my husband had never seen it during the winter.  Added bonus was the tour left out of Jackson, WY (a place we both had been wanting to visit).  If you can stand the cold this trip is so worth it!

Where:  Jackson, WY  (the locals do not like it called Jackson Hole).  Great little Town Square with good food and shoppes.  Although we did not see them, I have read/heard that Harrison Ford has a place by there as well is part of the Sheriffs department search and rescue. He has been known to frequents the dinning establishments in Jackson Town Square.

Stayed:  We stayed in these very cozy cabins at Rustic Inn (http://www.rusticinnatjh.com/).    This past summer we did go back and this time we stayed at The Best Western Plus the Lodge at Jackson Hole.  These rooms were amazing!  Remote control fire place, HUGE comfy beds and furniture and heated pool.  Very Very Nice.

Played:  The Grand Tetons are nearby. We took a tour through the Jackson Hole Elk Refuge Center. Which was very educational and great photo ops.  We spent some time walking around Town Square.  And then of course there was the main event the Yellowstone Snowmobile Tour.  We booked ours with Jackson Hole Adventure Center.  The tour guide was awesome.  Below are only a few of the photos I took during the tour, really I have hundreds more.
